After MANY years of faithful service, Ralph Hitchens has discerned it is time to retire from his longstanding role as Lay Leader of our congregation. The Lay Leader “functions as the primary representative and role model of of Christian discipleship and faith lived out in the church and daily life.” Poolesville Memorial is thankful for the way in which Mr. Hitchens has faithfully done so throughout his tenure.

Taking up the mantle of Lay Leader will be Ms. Eleanor Bateman. As an established leader in the congregation, Eleanor is poised to serve faithfully in this new assignment. Please be sure to wish both Ralph and Eleanor well in this season of transition.
